There aren’t that many French players in the NHL.
Sure, you’ll often see Team France at the World Championships, but that’s generally about it. Only 11 French-born players have ever played in the NHL. Only six of them have ever played over 100 games. Only two of them are still active: Antoine Roussel and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.
Bellemare is one of the most prolific French players to ever play. Remember his inclusion on Team Europe, who had a pretty good World Cup? Yeah.
So it makes sense that, in downtimes, Bellemare would celebrate his heritage.
Also, apparently he’s quite the cook, because those crepes look amazing. What a way to spend a day off.
