It was the beginning of a new era for the Philadelphia Flyers. The Carter Hart era. The young goaltender took the ice for his NHL debut and didn’t disappoint. Hart made 20 stops on 22 shots and recorded his first NHL win in the process. James van Riemsdyk, Shayne Gostisbehere, and Radko Gudas each scored to pace the orange and black en route to a 3-2 victory over the Red Wings. Interim head coach Scott Gordon picked up his first win as head coach of the Flyers. Philadelphia returns to action on Thursday as the host the Nashville Predators.
Photographer Heather Barry was in the building Tuesday night to capture some action and a lot of Carter Hart photos for his NHL debut.
