The Philadelphia Flyers got a good goaltending performance and won the game. Seems like a pretty simple formula.
Making his sixth career start, Anthony Stolarz stopped 30 of 32 Pittsburgh Penguins shots to earn his first victory of the season, backstopping the orange and black to a 4-2 win in Yellow Bridgeville.
Things didn’t start well, with Sidney Crosby converting a two-on-one into a one-goal lead less than forty seconds into the first period, but a Wayne Simmonds vs. Jamie Oleksiak fight followed by a Travis Konecny breakaway goal evened things up and from there the Keystone State Rivalry went on to become one of the Flyers most entertaining games of the season.
