*Obviously, the biggest story as we approach this upcoming season is going to continue to be which player wins himself the 3C job out of camp. This week, we’ll be taking a close look at the likely candidates and why they would (or would not) be a good fit. First up, Scott Laughton. [BSH]

*With Andrew MacDonald on the sidelines with the injury, Phil Myers should be given a real shot at earning a spot on the defense this year. Here’s hoping that shot is actually given to him. [Philly.com]

*As we head into camp, something to watch will be where Travis Konecny ends up in the lineup. Logically it ought to be the first line, given his success there, but uh...you know...Dave. [NBC Sports Philly]

*And finally...really need the Carolina Hurricanes to stop giving Dave Hakstol ideas. [Yahoo Sports]
