Checking out the competition: Montreal Canadiens

Can the Flyers extend their win streak to three against an improved Montreal club?

NHL: Philadelphia Flyers at Montreal Canadiens Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

After Carter Hart and Sean Couturier carried the team to a 4-3 win over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday, the Philadelphia Flyers are hoping to achieve their second three-game winning streak of the season on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens. Depending on the outcome of their game tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Canadiens could be coming in on a winning streak of their own, as they’ve won three straight thanks to strong goaltending. Steve and Craig were joined by Scott Matla of Eyes On The Prize to talk about the upcoming Flyers-Habs contest. The trio talked about:

  • How the Canadiens have won three in a row.
  • Candiens’ fans approval rating of Marc Bergevin at the moment.
  • If the Carey Price and Shea Weber contracts are worrisome.
  • The trades for Max Domi and Jonathan Drouin.
  • Jesperi Kotkaniemi’s rookie season.
