*The Flyers are generally infuriating this season but man oh man are they missed when they’re gone this long. The bye week is dumb. Anyhoo, JJ gives us an idea of what might be ahead for this team when they come back from winter break next week. [Flyers]

*One thing you could focus on this week is Claude Giroux, who will never let us down []

*The worst part about this dumb break is that the Flyers were starting to pull stuff together and now that momentum is dead. Although, that may be for the best. Depending on your outlook. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Carter Hart appears, on the surface, to be quite possibly the most level-headed 20 year old to ever exist on this earth, and most certainly one of the least-weird NHL goaltenders you’ve ever encountered. Most of that can be attributed to his sports psychologist, who has been an important part of Hart’s training for quite a while. [Courier-Post]

*Meltzer has some thoughts to share, including a look at Anthony Stolarz’s triumphant return and some deadline trade options for Chaz to consider. [Hockeybuzz]

*Speaking of trade options, moving on from Michael Raffl may be a good one to consider. [BSH]

*Have you been wondering what John Boruk thinks of the performance of the Flyers’ defense thus far this season? No? Well here it is anyway. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Sam Morin is finally looking like he might be ready to play some hockey. Hooray. []

*Since the Edmonton Oilers organization continues to dunk on itself by allowing Pete Chiarelli to make roster moves, DGB thought it might be a good idea to look at times when doing something nutty, like trading Jesse Puljujarvi (the latest rumor), actually worked out for the best. [The Athletic]
