Draft talk already commencing

The Flyers are officially back, gang! The season’s getting into full swing, and we’re pretty excited about that! And you know what that means! It’s time to talk about the draft!

*screeching tires*

Okay, yes that’s a long ways away, but who knows, anything can happen! Maybe the Flyers get killed in the home opener tonight, killed so badly that we’re over the whole season and just want to look at who we could get in the next draft. Would that be an overreaction? Absolutely. But, lord knows, we’re good for an overreaction or two around here.

Even if we’re not going that far, there are a number of us who like to dig into the draft eligible prospect watching early, and if that’s you, you’re in luck. They haven’t come out with a definitive ranking yet, but NHL Central Scouting has put together their first list of the season of draft eligible players to be watching. You can check out the full list here, and have a look at the players that they’ve identified as “first round candidates” below. I’ve included their current team, and their stats for so far this season, and last.
