*So, tonight will be the first game without Travis Konecny, and as such, the lines have been changed a bit. And the power play has a pretty new look, too. [Hockeybuzz]

*It won’t be an easy game either, as Colorado is pretty hot right now. [Inquirer]

*Meltzer also has some more in-depth stuff about the new lines, which if we had to guess will probably get blended up a lot in tonight’s game before settling on something. [Flyers]

*Speaking of the power play, it’s been really bad, huh? We talked about how the weak penalty kill has turned into one of this team’s strengths. Now let’s talk about how that power play has become a big glaring weakness. [BSH]

*With the Flyers’ forward depth being tested pretty hard right now, could we see a return of The Bunn Man? [NBC Sports Philly]

*Depth is not an issue on the backend, though. With Ghost getting back to himself again, there’s a bit of a log jam. [Courier-Post]

*Speaking of prospects; we’ve got a few headed to World Juniors again. That’s fun! [BSH]

*The NHL has rolled out a plan, of sorts, to deal with what appears to be a rather deep-seated raft of problems from the bottom to the top of the hockey world. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, in that vein, Phantoms legend Jim Montgomery has been fired from his head coaching job with the Dallas Stars, for what can only be presumed to be something pretty bad. Sure it’ll come out at some point. [Defending Big D]
