The Philadelphia Flyers returned home after two tough losses to, arguably, their biggest game of the season - a showdown with the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2019 NHL Stadium Series at Lincoln Financial Field Saturday night.

The game had it all, fights, big hits, Gritty, and even an overtime period. Claude Giroux capped the night with a beauty of a goal in overtime to seal the win, while Brian Elliott stayed strong despite a few tough instances in net. Gritty descended in from the top of the stadium, streaked across the length of the stadium, and set the tone to keep the crowd into it.

It was an all-around battle from start to finish with both teams fighting the elements. Philadelphia erased a 3-1 deficit with two late goals, including one as seconds ticked down at the end of regulation by Jake Voracek.

In the end, the surging Flyers reigned victorious and sent a crowd of nearly 70,000 people into a frenzy. The Flyers return to action after the Trade Deadline with a game against the Buffalo Sabres.
