*On the back of an outstanding afternoon from BAMFBrian Elliott and both of the young Travii, the Flyers beat the overachieving New York Islanders and it was a joy to watch. Apart from Nolan Patrick taking a puck to the head. That did not spark joy. RECAP!

*Friday night’s game saw a nice little win by the boys with a nice little performance by #33 in your programs, #8 in your hearts, Camuel Talbot. [BSH]

*There was a scary moment early in the game when Nolan Patrick was boarded by one of the Devils’ no-name random dude roster players, and thankfully he’s received a suspension. As he should’ve. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Does anyone else ever think about how Nolan Patrick and Travis Konecny are kind of the new Richie and Carter? I think about that a lot sometimes. Anyway here’s John Boruk talking about their being buddies do you care etc. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Michael Raffl is happy he didn’t get traded. That’s nice. [Philly.com]

*As the rest of this season plays out, we should hopefully get an idea of what this team will look like next season. [Philly.com]

*To close out the Wayne Simmonds trade, we got together at the end of last week to put our thoughts about the trade down on paper. Or on the website, whatever. [BSH]

*Anyhoo, let’s look at Last Week In The Phantoms. [BSH]

*Speaking of prospects, you’ve gotten a lot of news about your Frosts and your Farabees and your Ratcliffes, but have you heard the good news about Yegor Zamula? [Courier-Post]

*And finally, Gritty continues to be the best. [NBC Sports Philly]
