The Philadelphia Flyers continued their playoff push with a battle against the defending champs at the Wells Fargo Center. The outcome wasn’t anything like you’d expect.

Washington came out focused and determined to dominate this one. They scored five-consecutive goals in the first two periods and took a 5-1 lead into the third period. The Flyers would battle back, however, scoring three goals of their own - including the first NHL goal of Phil Myers’ career, which was a thing of beauty.

Unfortunately, their comeback attempt was not enough. The Flyers would fall 5-3 to the Capitals. They return to action on Saturday against the New York Islanders.
