Slap Shots: Flyers vs Canadiens

Meh.

The Philadelphia Flyers were back at the Wells Fargo Center trying time keep their winning streak alive against the Montreal Canadiens.

They got out to an early lead as recently-recalled Joel Farabee ended a goal drought with just a minute left in the first period. That lead would last all but 20 seconds as the Canadiens jumped back on and tied the game.

It wasn’t Alex Lyon’s best night, who was starting in place of injured Carter Hart. The Canadiens got to Lyon in a flash, capitalizing on breakdowns and scoring twice in 20 seconds early in the period.

It was downhill from there. The Flyers power play couldn’t find the back of the net. They fell 4-1 to the Canadiens. They return to action on Saturday against the Kings.
