The Philadelphia Flyers allowed 19 shots on goal to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night, and Brian Elliott stopped them all en route to a 3-0 victory at the Wells Fargo Center, ending the first half of the season on a celebratory note.

Philly heads into a nine-day lay off for the All-Star break and bye week having won four of five, and going 5-2-1 (.688 points-percentage) over the last 15 days against the Carolina Hurricanes, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Damn, it’d be nice to have a mulligan in that Habs game... but I digress.

The Flyers put on one hell of a performance against the Pens to close out the home stand, and the postgame show took the time to enjoy a victory that felt like a long time coming.
