Morgan Frost is heading to the AHL All Star Classic

Hey now, you’re an all... sorry

Casey Liberatore / SB Nation

What’s better than a little bit of news on a Friday? Right?

Anyway, it’s just been announced that Morgan Frost has been selected to represent the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the 2020 AHL All Star Classic, taking place January 26 and 27 in Ontario, CA.

It’s been a bit since we saw Frost in the AHL, but his 12 points in his first 16 games and overall spark he brought to the team made him a key and noticeable piece, to say the least, and for that reason, it’ll be nice to have him back with the team. And now that he’s been sent back to the Phantoms, he regained his eligibility to take place in the All Star festivities. How’s that for a win-win?

Of course, it remains to be seen if Frost will still even be in the AHL when the All Star Game rolls around, as the Flyers, with their tenuous center depth, may well call him back up to the big club. But hey, it’s still pretty neat for a rookie to get this nod.
