Little by little, teams across the NHL have steadily been teasing their new Reverse Retro sweaters over the last week or so. Those sweaters were finally unveiled Monday, and they sure are something!
Check out the Flyers’ interesting new sweater, which is pretty much identical to the photo of the threads that were leaked back in October.

Does that sweater look familiar to you? It should. It’s essentially a twist on the Flyers’ old duds they wore in the ‘90s. It’s also eerily similar to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms’ current uniforms.
This thing is far from hideous, and it’s always fun whenever the Flyers add a new sweater to their wardrobe. But still, it’s hard to imagine fans wouldn’t be more excited if the Flyers just simply made their ‘90s threads their official third jerseys. Yes, this fits the Reverse Retro theme, but perhaps the Flyers are slowly picking up on fans’ appreciation for the old Legion of Doom sweaters.
One day, folks. One day.
