You guys! We’re still in the dark depths of quarantine, but the good news is that we do have a hockey happening to report on! A real thing!
The Flyers have just announced that they’ve signed right winger Linus Sandin to an entry level contract to begin in the 2020-21 season. It is a one-year deal that is reported to carry a cap hit of $925,000, per Capfriendly.
The 23 year old forward (24 at the end of next month), is coming off of a strong season with HV71 of the SHL, which saw him record 19 goals and 17 assists for 6 points in 51 games (putting him second on his team in scoring), while also putting up a 52.01 CF%.
Sandin will be one of three new forwards (along with recently signed Tanner Laczynski and Wade Allison) joining the professional mix for next season, and it certainly should make for an interesting training camp, you know, whenever that does happen.
