If there’s one, specific, random thing I miss about hockey is the smell of the arena. The sounds of the ice crew treating and shoveling ice. Concessions stands, pretzels, and the smell of condiments. It’s the little things, right?
Arriving early enough, the arena is silent at times, like a calm before the storm. You’ll see the behind-the-scenes production team at work on scoreboard tests, new ads being placed on the boards and the food staff working hard to prep meals for games.
This photo gallery is a nice reminder of the evolving times and changes to the Wells Fargo Center throughout the years from a playoff series, off-ice events, and productions you usually don’t see.
