*Over the weekend the NHLPA voted to go along with the NHL’s 24-team playoff scheme. For better or worse, this is what we’ll get if the hockey comes back. [BSH]

*The spiciest bit came when we found out that two teams voted “no” on the proposal, one of them being the Carolina Hurricanes. They are not pleased. [Canes Country]

*So then later in the weekend, we started to hear some more details about other things: what practices would look like, how we’d ease back into things, the draft, etc. Oh, the draft? Have a gander at this tweet thread from Bob Mackenzie if you want to know how weird that’s going to get.

*Most of the protocols were detailed in a document that was released yesterday. [Sportsnet]

*The players, for their part, are rightfully concerned about their own safety and having to be isolated from their families for some number of months. [AP]

*Anyhoo, here’s an initial assessment of what all this might mean for the Flyers. [BSH]

*So yeah TL;DR - we’re probably looking at July for a restart. [Inquirer]

*Whenever this cockamamie draft happens, perhaps the Flyers will take a big-boy winger. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Or they might go defense again. There seem to be a few good options in this draft should they go that route. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Nate Thompson made an appearance on the 31 Thoughts podcast and he’s got some pretty good things to say about the Flyers’ future. [NBC Sports Philly]

*And finally, been wondering what Ron Hextall has been up to? Then check out his recent chat with Jeff Marek. FYI, this is audio. [Sportsnet]
