*Well, it's game day again. And this time, we will be saying hello to our old friend Shayne Gostisbehere. Anyhoo, before this game, read about how happy Claude Giroux is to be playing with Cam Atkinson. [BSH]

*Perhaps this will distract you from the fact that Ryan Ellis will be missing his fifth straight game tonight. [Inquirer]

*James van Riemsdyk has made himself into a guy to watch not only on the ice, but off it too. [Inquirer]

*OK, the NHL was back at it yesterday, as Gary Bettman and Bill Daly held a press conference over Zoom to discuss the Chicago Blackhawks investigation. It was to put it lightly, an unmitigated disaster. They somehow made the league look even worse. [Second City Hockey]

*They succeeded in only one thing: making sure no one, anywhere, at all, finds them or the NHL credible in any way. [Daily Faceoff]

*Thankfully, there are guys like Brock McGillis, doing all they can to make this game we all love just a little less... disgusting. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough guys like him right now. [The Hockey News]

*Ten years ago the league implemented Rule 48, designed to limit the number of serious hits to the head that take place in any given game. How have those first ten years gone? Has the rule impacted things at all? [ESPN]

*Apparently the NHL wants players to market themselves more on social media? Like, with personality? Seems fake. [The Athletic]

*And finally, to end on a light note: mustaches. [NBC Sports Philly]
