*It was a big weekend of hockey for us, huh pals? Saturday night was a bit of a mess but an overtime win, and then Sunday went out and did the same dang thing, this time with a hattrick. These boys just keep winning.

*Perhaps the biggest surprise was that Alain Vigneault healthy-scratched Travis Konecny for Saturday’s game. [Inquirer]

*Now, why the heck did he do that? [The Athletic]

*With Travis Konecny out, AV put in... Sam Morin. At left wing. He did not perform that well, unfortunately. [BSH]

*Perhaps we should’ve have been that surprised by Konecny’s scratching; after the second Devils game, AV called out his top guys for their underperformance. [The Athletic]

*Sticking with those Devils games; the fourth line was outstanding. The bottom six have been showing up, for the most part. [BSH]

*What if Ron ends up the Penguins GM?? That would be wild. [NBC Sports Philly]

*If you’re ranking the Flyers’ current prospects, who do you have on top? [Inquirer]

*For the most part, thankfully, it seems that most of the professional athletes haven’t had much in the way of lasting effects after recovering from Covid. Unfortunately, we have our first story of a promising young hockey player that hasn’t been so lucky. [Hockey Wilderness]

*And finally, the New York Rangers have finally decided to get rid of Tony DeAngelo... [Blueshirt Banter]

*... and the details of why paint a very, very ugly picture. Of both the player and the organization. [Blueshirt Banter]
