*Boy oh boy did we all need a good old-fashioned regulation win. Fun time had by all. RECAP!

*We saw a new look Nolan Patrick last night, as Alain Vigneault opted to move him to wing in an attempt to get him going. [Inquirer]

*AV was hoping that Patrick and Hayes’ bond off the ice would translate into production on the ice. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Big news yesterday was, of course, The Mark Friedman Story. [BSH]

*We introduced Friedman to his new family over at Pensburgh. It’s important info for them and for us, since there seems to be some consternation over the loss of the defenseman. [Pensburgh]

*Anyway, speaking of moves: Mattias Ekholm. Chuck. Charles. Mr. Fletcher. Go get ‘im. [BSH]

*Did you guys see that the Flyers-Bruins game Sunday was a big hit on TV? It’s great news for the league, that’s for sure. [NBC Sports Philly]

*The toughness debate rolls on, do we need it, do we not, etc. But what exactly does it bring to the team? [BSH]

*The Montreal Canadiens got weird yesterday and fired their head coach, Claude Julien. Who was actually good. [Habs Eyes On The Prize]

*It’ll be interesting to see if that pulls the Habs out of the funk they’re in. Usually, a mid-season coaching change doesn’t do all that much in the long run. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, we’ve welcomed a new writer here at BSH; everyone say hi to Eamon Smith! [BSH]
