NHL announces schedule changes

Four Flyers games are affected.

Who doesn’t love a Saturday morning news dump?

The NHL has announced schedule changes that will affect 30 games league-wide, four of which are Flyers games. The Flyers games that have been rescheduled are:

  • Game #254, Philadelphia at NY Rangers, originally scheduled for Feb. 16, is now scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. ET
  • Game #322, Philadelphia at Buffalo, originally scheduled for Feb. 26, is now scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. ET
  • Game #557, Philadelphia at Buffalo, originally scheduled for March 30, is now scheduled for Wednesday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Game #716, Philadelphia at New Jersey, originally scheduled for April 20, is now scheduled for Thursday, April 1 at 7 p.m. ET

Not a huge deal, not too many big shifts in game nights for the Flyers, but adjustments nonetheless. This does, however, give the Flyers two more sets of back-to-back games, which is never good news. One assumes the schedule will be shifted several more times as the season goes on, given the number of teams adding players and staff to the Covid protocol on what seems like a daily basis. Hang on to your butts.
