*Well... last night’s game was bad. Just like the one before it. Welcome back, fans! RECAP!

*Obviously, the Flyers won’t need to worry about Tom Wilson for any of this week’s games. [Japers’ Rink]

*Caps coach Peter Laviolette predictably defended his player and wants us all to know that poor Tom is just a misunderstood boy being unfairly targeted. Brandon Carlo went to the hospital, in case you weren’t aware. [NBC Sports Boston]

*Some would argue that seven games is not long enough given Wilson’s history of... questionable hockey plays, but the DoPS has a ridiculous set of rules that do very little to protect players from hits like the ones Wilson so often dishes out. Here’s a handy explainer. [ESPN]

*Anyhoo, the Flyers. What can we all take away from last week’s ultimately disappointing series with the Penguins? [BSH]

*Charlie has some takeaways as well, from what he very accurately describes as a missed opportunity. [The Athletic]

*Did any of you fine folks get to make it to the game last night? Would love to hear about the experience in the comments. If have some questions about what it will be like, the fine people whose office space is in the building have answers. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Apparently, some of the people that manage The Farg were legit worried something terrible might happen to it with it being shut down so long. Did not think of that. [Inquirer]

*And finally (this is a video, FYI), a dad in upstate New York used the pandemic as an excuse to build probably the coolest outdoor rink you’ve ever seen. It’s super neat. [ProHockeyTalk]
