*Let’s start our Monday morning with a little Wayne Simmonds. Kick this week off properly.

*The first round is going to be over fast; have you selected a bandwagon? A team from the Central Division, perhaps? [BSH]

*As more and more of these guys end up in the NHL, the one-stacked prospect corps will naturally thin out. Right now, who are the best of the bunch? [Inquirer]

*About those top prospects transitioning... Joel Farabee did that pretty nicely eh? We’re going to need him to get even better. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Speaking of getting better, we grade out this season’s bottom six forwards. [BSH]

*Kevin Hayes was playing injured this season. Which, frankly, seems obvious. [NBC Sports Philly]

*This weekend’s playoff action continued the excitement we’ve seen from this first round so far. Unfortunately, this weekend also brought us an incredibly scary moment for Leafs’ captain John Tavares. [Pension Plan Puppets]

*This weekend also brought a long suspension for Nazem Kadri. Which we are forced to compare to Tom Wilson. And then think about things. [Mile High Hockey]

*He’s appealing, though. [AP]

*And finally, another decision by the DoPS brings another round of calls for some kind of examination of the NHL’s discipline process. It just plain isn’t working. [The Athletic]
