Day 2 of the NHL Draft kicks off bright and early Saturday morning, June 27, at 10 a.m. from the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. Will it live up to the excitement of a riveting Day 1 of the NHL Draft?

In total, eight trades and 30 picks were made on Friday -- including a few big ones, like Ryan O'Reilly heading to the Sabres and Dougie Hamilton leaving the Bruins for the Flames. Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel predictably went to Edmonton and Buffalo, respectively, at the top of the draft. But while most of the top 10 was predictable enough that our SB Nation NHL Mock Draft nailed 9 of the 10 first picks, the rest of the top 30 was a mess.

It started with the Boston Bruins, who had three straight picks -- unprecedented in the NHL Draft -- between 13 and 15. They went way off the board with at least two of those picks, part of a day that was ... not so great for the franchise, if you believe most pundits.

The Philadelphia Flyers had a great night. They picked up Ivan Provorov with the No. 7 pick, a guy who has clear potential to be their No. 1 defenseman for the next decade-plus. And they traded up from the No. 29 pick to grab the No. 24 pick from Toronto, which they used to pick up Travis Konecny, the offensively-gifted, small, speedy forward from the Ottawa 67's. In Konecny, the Flyers get a clear-cut No. 1 offensive prospect in their system -- something they desperately needed.

The Flyers lost a late second round pick in the move to grab Konecny, but they still hold seven picks on Day 2 of the draft. Other than the picks, expect general manager Ron Hextall to work the phones hard in an attempt to move a contract or two off of his bloated payroll.

Here's everything you need to know about Day 2.
