A healthy Seeler means a better Drysdale

It’s only three games in. About 186 minutes have been played in total and there are still 79 games left in the season. It’s very early. Having said that, it’s probably apparent by now that the Flyers are in a better position to win games with Nick Seeler in the lineup than without.

The defenseman blocks shots, provides a presence on the ice and will do damn near whatever it takes to ensure the Flyers remain in the fight. John Tortorella rarely has had a bad thing to say about Seeler since he began coaching Philadelphia. Danny Briere loved his style of play enough to ink him to a four-year deal and he’s able to be a quasi-enforcer sans Nic Deslauriers while also eating up top-four minutes on a blueline that remains a work in progress.

But as much as the general manager, the coach, and his teammates would love to see him back, there’s one Flyer in particular who needs to see him in the lineup much sooner than later. That Flyer is Jamie Drysdale.
