The news of the week No bombshells to recap this week, just a bit of movement. In case you missed it, Bobby Brink was sent down to the Phantoms so he can get more playing time, and to replace him (and Owen Tippett, who was just placed on IR), Olle Lycksell was recalled. And in other news, after missing several weeks with an injury, Helge Grans was finally back in the lineup for the Phantoms this week. What\'s up with the Phantoms? This was, all in all, another not so stellar week for the Phantoms. They kicked things off with a pretty deflating 6-0 loss to Rochester on Wednesday, and then went to Cleveland for a two game series, which they were able to come away from with a split, dropping Friday\'s game but coming back to win Saturday\'s. And for the standings watchers, there\'s no big update -- the Phantoms are still hanging on to that seventh place spot in their division. But there might still be some good news to be found here. Despite the Phantoms\' own struggles to string together many good games in a row, the Springfield Thunderbirds are in a bit of a free fall right now, with just two wins in their last ten games. This has pushed the Phantoms to within one point of that final playoff spot in their division, so the door is opening back up for them here. There was a nice bit of scoring brought by the prospects -- in those two games where there was scoring done. Olle Lycksell but a nice bow on his case for a recall on the weekend, as he put up a goal and an assist, but he wasn\'t the only one to hit that mark -- both Samu Tuomaala has their own one goal and one assist weekends in Cleveland, to boot. And falling just short of contributing to that nice bit of continuity was Ronnie Attard, who had a goal of his own, but that\'s all. No goals for Adam Ginning, as we round out the prospect scoring recap, but he did manage to contribute two assists over his three games played. And finally, it was a good first week back for Grans, as he\'s working himself back up to game speed. He held up well with a three game workload, and was even able to chip in an assist over the weekend. The prospect world tour In the NCAA, things are continuing to go well for the host of Flyers prospects playing there. With two games on the slate for everyone, Bryce Brodzinski chipped in another goal and two assists, while Devin Kaplan was able to get himself on the board with a goal, and both Owen McLaughlin and Cole Knuble had a pair of assists each. The biggest contributor of the week -- which should be no surprise by now -- was once again Massimo Rizzo. In his pair of games with Denver, he scored one goal and added an additional six (yes, six!) assists. And to put that further in context, with Denver scoring 12 goals across their pair of games, this means that Rizzo factored into the scoring of more than half of them, which is indeed not too shabby at all. From up North, Matteo Mann returns to the report, as he put up a goal in his two games played this week. Also in the QMJHL, the goal scoring has slowed down for now for Alexis Gendron, but not the points getting -- he still collected two assists in his two games played this week. Over in London, Oliver Bonk cannot be slowed down, as he put up two goals and three assists in his last two games (the second of which was a crazy 10 goal outing for London). And abroad, it was a pretty good week for Alexei Kolosov, all in all. He had three starts on the week, kicking things off with a 15 save on 16 shot outing (and win). His next start went less smoothly, as he came in the very next day and it saw him give up four goals on 16 shots before being pulled. But credit to him, he rebounded well in his next start, and went on to only allow one goal on 36 shots faced, while picking up another win. And finally, Michkov Watch can now resume, as he got back into action yesterday after missing a few games. That first game back, too, was a pretty solid one. Michkov didn\'t pick up any goal, but he did have an assist on the game winning goal. Not a bad place to start.
