The Philadelphia Flyers own the city right now.
After eliminating the Pittsburgh Penguins at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Wednesday night, Cam York returned to the scene of the crime for another big playoff game less than 24 hours later. He and Trevor Zegras rang the bell before the Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Boston Celtics for Game 6 of their first-round series in the NBA Playoffs.

York and Zegras got the crowd fired up before the game, and that must’ve helped as the 76ers came through with a big Game 6 victory of their own to force a Game 7 against one of their biggest rivals.
The duo received a loud ovation from the crowd as they were introduced and rang the bell, which isn’t quite the same reception that the Phillies received when a few players were shown on the jumbotron the night before.

The Phillies appeared to take it in stride, though, and turned around to sweep both halves of a doubleheader against the Giants on Thursday.
No matter the sport, it’s always great to see Philadelphia’s teams support one another. The Philadelphia sports complex, for all of its warts, is one of the coolest setups in the country. Not many cities have teams in each of the four major sports leagues, and it’s even rarer to see their stadiums all close enough to share parking lots — for better or worse.
For as close as all of the Philadelphia sports teams are, this Flyers team might be even closer. They battled through more than 60 minutes to survive and advance past the Penguins.
“I mean, every single shift we’re laying it on the on the line like it’s desperation mode,” York said after the Game 6 win. “Like guys are selling out trying to block shots, help [Vladar] out as much as we can. You know, that’s just the brotherhood that we have in that locker room, and it’s been like that from Game 1 of the season, and it’s a big reason why we’re here right now. So, you know, we’re all so close and have had so many good memories this year and, you know, it just feels like we keep stacking them and just trying to have fun with this thing.”
York was one of 14 different goal scorers for the Flyers in their first-round series against the Penguins. It was the sixth goal scored by a Flyers defenseman, which leads all teams this postseason. In total, 18 players recorded a point in the series, with 14 putting up at least two points.
The Flyers will look to keep the party going in the second round against the Carolina Hurricanes, and the 76ers have a chance to join them after extending the series in front of York and Zegras on Thursday night.
