Can the Flyers prevent a potential collapse?
The Flyers were able to control the game surprisingly well in the first period yesterday, keeping it to that low-event style that just suits them too well — and is basically the opposite of what the Hurricanes want to do. That led them to a justifiable 2-0 lead after 20 minutes but just like they always tend to do, Carolina roared back, dominating possession and taking boatloads of shots for the rest of the game and that is what ended up giving them the full two points.
Can the Flyers just somehow prevent this from happening once again? Even if they get started on the right foot, can they keep the game in their control?
Cam York might return, maybe
Both Cam York and Rasmus Ristolainen are with the Flyers on the road trip so their return to the ice could be coming at any time. But, it seems like York is much closer out of the two and there are little minor whispers that he could be back in the lineup for this second half of a back-to-back. While the Flyers’ blue line has not been dreadful in his absence, it would be a major lift for the team to have their top pairing back together.
