Predictions

Well, the time has come. For the first time this season, the Flyers are favored to win, and not by a small margin. The recent success has finally caught up to bettors who have been taking advantage of solid wins paired with good (high yielding) odds. Now, all of the best odds come with an Anaheim pick, and we are stuck with the typical toss up--Do we continue to pick the Flyers, but for much worse odds, or do we pick against our team because the odds will yield a better return?

The standard bet here would be a neutral pick: the over/under, a particular goal scorer, etc. Alternatively, though, the Flyers have proven reliable offensively and defensively, and we might have some confidence that a Flyers pick would be a winner, even if it is a small winner.

In his six games this season, Bobby Brink has recorded 3 or more goals three times. In the other three games, Brink tallied 2 shots twice, and he was held shotless against the Vegas Golden Knights. Yes, in every game in which Brink got a SOG, he\'s gotten at least two. Here, the over is 2.5, and since Brink is coming off of a two-goal session against the Wild, we think he will be inclined to shoot a little bit more against the Ducks.
