*It’s the last day before the holiday weekend, and we’re all eager to log off. But before we do, let’s talk about Porter Martone and how good he was at the end of the season. [BSH]

*Things have been pretty quiet around here, but we did get a bit of news coming down late last night, with prospect Jack Nesbitt announcing his commitment to Michigan for next season. [BSH]

*We may also be getting some more news before too long, as it sounds like things are trending towards an extension for Dan Vladar. [The Athletic]

*And then what about offer sheets? Could we see things get that spicy? [BSH]

*Speaking of new contracts, Jamie Drysdale is also awaiting one, and his steady improvement is really helping his case for a raise. [NBCSP]

*As the Flyers look to continue building towards the next step in their rebuild, there are some key lessons that they can learn from the slightly more distant past. [BSH]

*On our next installment of the Community Draft Board, we’re getting to know North Dakota’s Keaton Verhoeff. [BSH]

*In other news, we have a name for the AHL’s newest team up in Hamilton. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, not that anybody was really seriously penciling him into the mix for the Oilers coaching job, Mike Babcock had to let everybody know that he’s not interested. Go figure. [TSN]
