Friday Morning Fly By: Off the board

Today’s open discussion thread, complete with your daily dose of Philadelphia Flyers news and notes.

*Yesterday was an off day for at least some of us, but it certainly wasn’t for the rumor mill. We had a couple more whispers cropping up, firstly, that the Flyers might be kicking the tires on the Islanders’ Alexander Romanov. [BSH]

*Additionally, that the Flyers might be close to rounding out their coaching staff, with Todd Reirden the rumored final hire to run the defense. [BSH]

*Moving from the world of rumors into more of the realm of speculation, let’s take a look at some options for the Flyers to potentially target this summer, either through trade or free agency. [Inquirer]

*One name’s just come off the board, though, as the Kraken acquired Mason Marchment from the Stars last night. [Sportsnet]
