Friday Morning Fly By: We love a good loss

*Well that game last night was the kind of loss you can’t even get mad at. Getting a point on the road after going down 3-1 is not bad. We’ll take it. RECAP!

*After last night’s game we are all now living in the Sean Couturier era and really, there was never any other choice. It was always going to be Coots. [PHLY]

*Sam Ersson is going to be tested through these last 25-ish games but he might just have the ideal constitution for such a challenge. [Inquirer]

*The Flyers’ brass, most notably John Tortorella, continue to remind us that they’re definitely going to try and trade some dudes we like. [BSH]

*The most obvious of those Dudes being Scott Laughton, who everyone likes, and who has been playing better over the last couple of weeks. Proving his value to the Flyers, yes, but also his value on the market. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Of course then there’s this guy suggesting that maybe the best thing the Flyers can do is take a page out of Chuck Fletcher’s playbook. [The Athletic]

*Someone asked John Tortorella his opinion on the Ridley Greig slap shot situation, and he gave pretty much the most John Tortorella answer imaginable. [Sportsnet]

*Tomorrow is the big outdoor game up in New Jersey and we might get snow for it! That would rule. [NBC Sports Philly]

*This year’s NHL goaltenders have been ranked by league executives, who famously have nothing but good opinions. [ESPN]

*Speaking of good opinions, we ranked all of the Flyers’ outdoor game jerseys ahead of tomorrow’s game, for funsies. Who doesn’t love a ranking? [BSH]

*And finally, with Coots being named the Flyers’ 20th captain, it’s time to ask yourself if you can remember all 19 of the other ones. [Inquirer]
