It’s that time of year again! The first round of the NHL draft is set to kick off on Friday night, and once again, we’re teaming up with our dear pals over at PHLY for another watch party and live podcast extravaganza.
In case you missed the posts across the social media channels — and, in a way, we envy you if you were able to pull off being unplugged like that — here’s all of the information that you’ll need to know in advance of the party.
The Where
We’re changing it up this year, and after spending the last few summers down in South Philly for our parties, we’re moving this thing up north. This year, we’ll be gathering at the Yards Brewing Company up on Spring Garden. The complete address is below:

The When
Officially, we’ll be kicking things off on Friday evening at 6:00 and running until 10:00. Even though the draft doesn’t officially open until 7:00, we’ll be getting going early, with a bit of the live show to preview all of the action, and a bit of a jump on the festivities for the rest of us.
The Who
You, we hope! You’ll see staff members from PHLY and BSH alike, but also a whole lot of fellow readers and listeners, as we gather for one of our very favorite events of the year.
There’s no charge to get into the party this time around, but you will need to RSVP just so that we can get a head count, and get a sense of how close the space is getting to capacity.

The Why
This is, in all, a nice way to celebrate the fruits of our labor — we’ve spent a lot of time digging into these prospects and discussing what the Flyers might do in their approach to this edition of the draft — but more than anything else, it’s a nice chance to gather and watch another milestone with the community that keeps this whole operation rolling. We couldn’t do it without you.
