*The Flyers finally got back to action last night with a game on the road in Seattle. [BSH]
*That didn’t go great for them, but what has been a lot more fun to watch unfold is all of the action happening in Minnesota at the World Juniors! We’ve had a boatload of coverage of that tournament going on over here. First, here’s a quick recap of the first day of action. [BSH]
*And the second, in case you missed any of it. [BSH]
*It’s also already looking like a productive tournament for Flyers prospects. Both Heikki Ruohonen and Max Westergard impressed in their first outing for Finland. [BSH]
*And Porter Martone and Jett Luchanko brought a bit of a mixed bag as far as first impressions go. [BSH]
*Martone in particular, though, certainly had himself an eventful debut. [BSH]
*It was a very Flyers game for him, and a nice preview of what he can bring when he gets rolling for them (something which he’s very excited to do). [Inquirer]
*Elsewhere in the world of prospects, Yegor Zavragin got collected in a truly freak play in his KHL game last week. [BSH]
*Also, we had some news rumblings over the weekend! The reports are that the Flyers are looking to extend Christian Dvorak, and also Egor Zamula might be on his way out. [BSH]
*He’s great when he’s on, but the Flyers are looking to get a bit more from Owen Tippett in the way of consistency. [Inquirer]
*And finally, Garnet Hathaway was a healthy scratch again last night against the Kraken, and it’s hard to imagine a road to him easily getting back into the lineup soon. [BSH]
