*It’s been another busy weekend around here, and the Flyers put an exclamation point on it by picking up a huge bounce back win over the Islanders in their Saturday matinee. [BSH]

*Once you make it through our observations, if you’re still hungry for more, Charlie has his usual 10 over on his site. [PHLY]

*Saturday’s was a nice game too on a human level, as Marshall Warren made his NHL debut for his hometown team, and even picked up his first NHL point, even though it came in the loss. [NHL]

*Between Saturday’s win and Thursday’s admittedly disappointing showing, the Flyers have gotten themselves a few true standout performances building up. Notably, Matvei Michkov seems to be getting his game pretty well back on track. [BSH]

*It seems that it was right to, like the Flyers were, not panic about his slow start to the season. [The Athletic]

*Trevor Zegras sure stepped up with a statement game on Saturday, and one which will be, we hope, the first of many. [BSH]

*His linemate in Christian Dvorak had himself a very good game as well. [NBCSP]

*While they’re still pretty depleted on the back end, the Flyers will be keeping the door well open for their second pair of Jamie Drysdale and Nick Seeler to step up and make an impact. [BSH]

*Speaking of Nick Seeler, you might have noticed that the Flyers are trying to move away from a system heavy on the shot blocking, and you will not hear him complaining about that. [NBCSP]

*The Flyers’ defense group as a whole, really, has been performing quite well through these early goings. [PHLY]

*Sam Ersson picked up the win for the Flyers on Saturday, and it felt like a meaningful win for him, as he settles into a role in this newly formed tandem. There’s some competition here, but it’s a situation he’s embracing. [BSH]

*Ersson, notably, too, has had a chance to build his game back up as Dan Vladar has taken the lead in the starting duties. He’s been a real pleasant surprise to start the season here. [Inquirer]

*Meanwhile, Owen Tippett has been thriving under Rick Tocchet’s new system. [BSH]

*Elsewhere in the Flyers’ system, Porter Martone is continuing to plug along with his impressive and productive start to his college career. [BSH]

*And finally, we’re taking a little break from talking about hockey and having a little bit of fun. We’re talking about The Boss! [BSH]
