Today’s open discussion thread, complete with your daily dose of Philadelphia Flyers news and notes…

*Canada fell short in the bronze medal game over at Worlds yesterday, but there was still some valuable experience gained by Porter Martone in that journey. [BSH]

*Speaking of World (and international competition in general) it looks like the chances of Matvei Michkov representing Russia on the international stage are on the rise again. [BSH]

*We’ve been doing a lot of draft talk around here, but before we get back into the really meaty stuff, here’s an overview of names to know as possibilities for the Flyers to grab at 21. [Inquirer]

*Okay, back to our Draft Board. Let’s get to know Daxon Rudolph, who certainly would give a team a boost in the size department. [BSH]

*But then there’s also Ryan Lin, who brings more of a two-way style to his defense. [BSH]

*Clearly, we have been talking about A Lot of defensemen so far on this draft board, but why stop now! Pronman over at the Athletic looks at the group, comparing players a little more directly. [The Athletic]

*As we continue our season review series, we turn now to look back at the end of Bobby Brink’s Flyers tenure. [BSH]

*And then to Emil Andrae, who made some progress this season, but whose future in the organization is still a little uncertain. [BSH]

*That status might become more settled if the Flyers make a move to ship out Rasmus Ristolainen this summer, and sure enough, his name is back on the trade boards. [BSH]

*Even more in the realm of hypotheticals, the Flyers and Leafs do make a lot of sense as partners in a trade for a goaltender. [BSH]

*There are also some interesting young free agent names the Flyers might keep on their radar. [BSH]

*And finally, did you just love watching the Flyers taking like 20 shots in every game? Good news! That model might just be here to stay. [BSH]
