*Don’t look now, folks, but we actually had ourselves a bit of news break from the Flyers at the end of last week. In case you missed it, they announced that they got Nikita Grebenkin locked in to a nice little two-year extension. [BSH]

*We would argue that it was quite a nice bit of business, even if it wasn’t the flashiest of signings. Speaking of contracts, though, let’s dig into some of the more efficient contracts signed under this shifting cap situation around the league. [Sportsnet]

*As we continue to work through our Top 25 Under 25 ranking, we welcome newly drafted Maksim Sokolovskii to the list for the first time. He breaks on at the 16th spot. [BSH]

*We’re deep in the doldrums of the summer here, and we’re just dreaming of trades that might maybe perhaps happen to keep us going. So with that said, what about the Canadiens, could they be a trade partner for the Flyers, as they continue to polish their roster? [BSH]

*Elsewhere in league news, the Kings have set a date for all of Anze Kopitar’s number retiring festivities. [TSN]

*And finally, the fans have made their voices heard over on the Athletic’s fan experience survey. [The Athletic]
