*After a long, long layoff, the Flyers got back to action over the weekend with a game up in Montreal. It… did not go great for them (but, we suppose, it did go well for the tank?). We’ve got our own recap and takeaways here. [BSH]

*And as if that wasn’t enough, Charlie’s got his own observations (his live from Montreal) here. [PHLY]

*That loss also meant, of course, means that they’ve officially been eliminated from playoff contention. [NHL]

*In the world of prospects, there’s a lot of good going on! Everyone loves the OHL guys in Denver Barkey, Oliver Bonk, and Jett Luchanko. [BSH]

*More on Barkey here, and the deep dive we did into one of his recent games. [BSH]

*Rookie Karsen Dorwart sure had an interesting rise through the hockey ranks. [Inquirer]

*Speaking of rises, Alexis Gendron has been rapidly rising up the organizational depth chart, and he’s punctuated his excellent season by hitting the 20 goals scored mark. [BSH]

*The folks over at the Athletic also decided on who in the pipeline they were most impressed by this season. [The Athletic]

*Brad Shaw remains impressed by Matvei Michkov’s progress. [BSH]

*Oh also there was some history made! Lest we forget, Alex Ovechkin is the NHL’s new all-time leading goal scorer. [Washington Post]

*And finally, a good old fashioned BSH deep dive — digging into the psychology behind slumps for athletes. [BSH]
