Today’s open discussion thread, complete with your daily dose of Philadelphia Flyers news and notes.

*The Phantoms gave it their best shot against the Very Good Hershey Bears, but their season ended last night in a 4-2 loss at the Giant Center. It’s officially offseason now, fam. RECAP!

*Friday’s Game 4 loss exposed what might be the Phantoms’ main weakness: just not a ton of playoff experience on this team. [BSH]

*But they’ve all gained some, now, and most crucially two of the Flyers’ most important prospects know what it is to play in the professional playoffs now. [The Athletic]

*Rick Tocchet went back to TV this weekend, doing some in-studio stuff for the TNT broadcast, and he looked so happy and comfy there. What a cushy gig. Should probably keep it. Anyway, we’re still talking about him being the best choice for the Flyers for some reason. [Inquirer]

*Lots of other rumors and speculations kicking around too, though! Like A former teammate of Danny Briere’s who currently coaches a major junior team. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Or how about a current assistant with a team that has done a lot of winning? [NBC Sports Philly]

*Anyway, up next on the BSH Community Draft board is a Very Large winger whose game is more finesse than brute force. [BSH]

*Speaking of prospect rankings, now that the U18s are over folks are updating their lists. [ESPN]

*Sometimes here at the hockey blog we gotta get a little wacky with the ideas. Like the idea of trading for Stuart Skinner. [BSH]

*While we’re talking goalies, the NHL revealed which goaltenders have made their quarter-century team. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, the Worlds are starting soon. This is why you should watch them. [Inquirer]
