*Things certainly are heating up around here! A couple of teams that we’ve had on our radar as potential trade partners for the Flyers have seen some activity this weekend, as the Kraken made the move to pick up Mackie Samoskevich from the Panthers. [ESPN]
*It’s Seattle’s Shane Wright that the Flyers have been sniffing around, we should clarify. [BSH]
*And then the Panthers have turned around and sent out a whole bunch of picks to the Senators in exchange for Brady Tkachuk. [TSN]
*That’s a pretty seismic trade, and it could open up the door for a big opportunity for the Flyers to pounce on. [BSH]
*On the flip side though, some of these trades unfolding elsewhere might have a negative effect on the Flyers’ (reported) pursuit of John Carlson. [BSH]
*Okay moving on. It’s officially draft week! We’re hitting the home stretch, and we have a whole bunch to dig into. It’s been a busy weekend over on the Community Draft Board, so let’s start by getting caught up on that. First up, we have a pretty, to say the least, boom or bust forward in Marcus Nordmark. [BSH]
