*We made it, folks! The trade deadline has come and gone, and we’re officially made it out on the other side. In case you missed it — you know, if you’re just waking up from a coma or returning from a remote wilderness excursion — let’s recap the news happenings.

  • The Flyers made a trade to send Bobby Brink to the Wild in exchange for defenseman David Jiricek. [BSH]
  • They also sent Nic Deslauriers to the Hurricanes. [BSH]
  • And picked up a new center in Luke Glendening off waivers. [BSH]
  • And made a swap of players at the AHL level. [BSH]

*The most notable thing from that day, though, was the fact that the Flyers failed to move Rasmus Ristolainen, despite all of the rumblings that it was a sure thing. [BSH]

*And that has this deadline feeling like another one in recent memory. [NBCSP]

*Speaking of missed opportunities, though, given the returns teams were getting for centers at the deadline, not having an option to move Christian Dvorak at this deadline feels like a big one. [BSH]

*David Jiricek is an exciting addition to the prospect pool, and the Flyers already have an idea of how they want to approach the rest of the season for him. [BSH]

*There’s a lot to be intrigued by with Jiricek, as a reclamation project. [BSH]

*But there’s also some reason to be concerned about the amount of risk that’s come in acquiring him. [BSH]

*Okay, we have little more Jiricek talk, and then we’re moving on. [PHLY]

*That’s officially a wrap on the deadline, so how do we rate the moves, now that the dust has settled. [BSH]

*Hey, look, more grades. [Inquirer]

*Checking in with the depth chart now that the deadline is all wrapped up. [The Athletic]

*In other news, Porter Martone had himself a very solid game in Michigan State’s final game of their regular season. [BSH]

*And Aleksei Kolosov is getting back to his game down in Lehigh Valley. [BSH]

*Just kidding, we have a bit more news! At long last, Alex Bump has been called up! [BSH]

*He made his NHL debut on Saturday in Pittsburgh, and it, and the days leading up to it, certainly were an adventure. [BSH]

*He’s also one of the more exciting pieces to watch as we get into this last quarter of the season. [BSH]

*Speaking of that game on Saturday, the Flyers won it! It was fun! Let’s get into some takeaways. [BSH]

*And to close this thing out, Jamie Drysdale stepped up for the Flyers in a big way in that game, and it was pretty electric. [BSH]
