Monday Morning Fly By: Settling in

*So here we are, huh? Our new home. Still have a bunch of boxes to unpack, still unsure of where to put all of our stuff, but it’s a nice house. We hope you like it too. Anyhoo, tough weekend of hockey for your boys. Saturday’s loss to the Sabres officially eliminated them from the postseason. Really thought they might make a push!! [BSH]

*We also learned this weekend that Sean Couturier is officially out for the season. Probably for the best, really. [Inquirer]

*Some folks (including Sean Couturier!) were a bit annoyed by the news that Coots would be sitting for the final few games. John Tortorella, however, is into the idea. [The Athletic]

*On the other side of the spectrum, Travis Konecny came off of IR this weekend and got back to game action. [BSH]

*Emil Andrae is a very interesting prospect, in that the potential upside to this kid is pretty high. And he’s been doing well with the Phantoms since signing his ELC. [BSH]

*After the terrible news about Fanatics taking over jersey production for the NHL, the Flyers gave us some GREAT news on the jersey front this weekend. [NBC Sports Philly]

*Remember when Philadelphia had two professional hockey teams? No, not the Phantoms. Before that. [Inquirer]

*Ever think about why guys who were goons and/or 4th line plugs during their NHL career make good coaches? [The Athletic]

*One of the fun new things we are doing here at BSH is a Sunday crossword! [BSH]

*And finally, if you’re wondering where to find all of our formerly SB Nation hockey blog pals, this handy list will come in handy. Check them out, they’re doing great work! [Die By The Blade]
