The news of the week

We had a bit of big news this week, and it's at least prospect tangentially related. The Flyers named Keith Jones their new President of Hockey Operations, and removed the interim tag, making Danny Briere their official new General Manager.

A lot's being made about rebuilding, and rebuilding right, but so far, everyone else in the front office is staying put. We mention this just as something to keep an eye on. It's a whole new era, we're told, and changes might be coming (or not coming!) to how drafting and development are approached around here. Either way, it will be interesting to see how things play out.
