We’ve got another schedule release to highlight, folks! The Phantoms, fresh off of a playoff run which saw them make it to the second round and play an honestly pretty competitive series before falling to the eventual Calder Cap champs in the Hershey Bears, and looking to be even more well stocked with prospects up and down the lineup this year, are going to be well worth tuning in to see, and dare we say, even exciting? And you can begin to pencil your prospect viewings into your schedule now. The full season schedule in calendar form is below, but you can also find it in list form here.
The Phantoms will get on the ice for the first time in the 2024-25 season during the first week in October, when the preseason (game dates yet to be announced) kicks off, before they open up the season at home on October 12 against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
AHL scheduling can be a bit whacky, and it often means you’re seeing a whole lot of the same teams, often exclusively those in your same conference, and while that’s largely true for this season as well, we will see a bit more variety in terms of the teams facing off against the Phantoms — that is, for the first time, the Grand Rapids Griffins, Milwaukee Admirals, and Rockford IceHogs (the affiliates of the Red Wings, Predators, and Blackhawks, respectively) will be coming to Allentown. Here’s a full breakdown of who they’ll be seeing and how many times:
Atlantic Division – 46
Bridgeport Islanders – 6
Charlotte Checkers – 4
Hartford Wolf Pack – 6
Hershey Bears – 10
Providence Bruins – 4
Springfield Thunderbirds – 4
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins – 12
North Division – 18
Belleville Senators – 2
Cleveland Monsters – 4
Laval Rocket – 2
Rochester Americans – 2
Syracuse Crunch – 4
Toronto Marlies – 2
Utica Comets – 2
Central Division – 8
Grand Rapids Griffins
Milwaukee Admirals
Rockford IceHogs
We’re deep in the doldrums of summer now, and while it feels like it’s a long ways away, October will be upon us in no time at all. And we’re all eager to see what the Phantoms are able to do this season.
