No. T-20: Alex Ciernik
Who could’ve guessed we’d have a tie between two prospects both named Alex? Not a one of us, that’s for sure! Last week we heard about Alex Bump, and today we get to dive into Alex Ciernik. Ciernik, listed at 5-foot-10 and 179 pounds, is a versatile winger who can play either side, and was ranked 65th in Elite Prospects’ 2023 Draft Guide for his explosive skating and soft skill. He is, however, very much a boom/bust prospect, with great upside but a chance to never make it in the NHL.
