Yards Brewing Company is releasing a Kevin Hayes-inspired beer

Kevin Hayes has become a total rockstar in Philadelphia. He’s been scoring goals pretty much at will for the Flyers recently (four in as many games), and he’s quickly stealing the hearts of everyone in town. Take away his fandom of the New England Patriots and Hayes is as close to perfect as any human can possibly be.

Now, Hayes is making an impact away from the ice in Philadelphia. He’s getting his very own beer!

Yards Brewing Company has announced that a Hayes-inspired beer called “Big Hayes-y 13” will be released on Friday. Of course, the Hayes beer is a double New England-style IPA — fitting for the Dorchester, Massachusetts native.

The Flyers take on the New York Rangers, Hayes’ former team, in South Philly on Friday. What better way to game prep than by chugging a Big Hayes-y or two before puck drop?

I can answer that — there is no better way.

Drink responsibly, folks.
