*The Flyers played an infuriating 40ish minutes of hockey on Saturday afternoon, but came through in the third and OT to take down the Blackhawks. And who scored that game winner? No other than Matvei Mitchkov. Who is rapidly turning into Mr. Clutch Time. RECAP!

*Then post-game Mich said a thing that likely let a fire inside all of us. [NBC Sports Philly]

*The game winner and the quotes and the general overall vibe with this kid really begs the question: is he actually the guy we’ve been waiting for? Because it seems like he is. [PHLY]

*We also saw the return of Cam York on Saturday, which was great news. [Inquirer]

*So Matvei Michkov won the hockey game and Connor Bedard did not. So I think we all know what that means. [The Athletic]

*All in all, a pretty dang nice November for the boys. And us, by extension. [Center Ice]

*That said, the organization is very clear on where this team stands, big picture-wise. [BSH]

*Just like that, we are a quarter of the way through the season. Seemed like a good time to throw together some Thoughts. [BSH]

*We’re lucky enough to have the best Phantoms writer in the biz and she’s got a lot of updates for you about the boys up in Allentown. First, an update on goalie Eetu Makiniemi. [BSH]

*This weekend also marked the pro debut of prospect Massimo Rizzo. [BSH]

*And finally, a full look at what’s up on the farm, from the kids in juniors all the way back to the AHL. [BSH]

*Around the league, Jim Montgomery was — to the surprise of no one — only unemployed for about 10 seconds before another team quite rightly scooped him up. [Sportsnet]

*The Sharks brought Jumbo Joe back to San Jose to send his #19 to the rafters. Well-earned honor for a guy it seems like everybody likes. [TSN]

*Sidney Crosby scored his 600th goal. Good for him. Also important to note that the Pens are in last place and no one is going to their games. [TSN]

*And finally, last week the Flyers held their annual Casino Night, and the boys showed out. These are the best fits from the big night out. [Inquirer]
