*The cursed homestand is finally over and the boys are back on the road again, tonight taking the ice down in Tampa Bay. This weekend’s last game in the homestand was a really doozy. RECAP!

*John Tortorella offered some assessments on a couple of his players over the last few days. First up, Sam Ersson, who he doesn’t believe is an NHL starting goaltender. Hard to argue with that one. [BSH]

*He apparently thinks Emil Andrae needs to “respect the league.” Whatever that means. [Inquirer]

*Travis Konecny is still not scoring any goals and it is beginning to feel like it might be A Problem. [The Athletic]

*Jakub Pelletier, who to my eyes hasn’t been terribly impressive since arriving from Calgary, is hoping that hard work will earn him more ice time. [Inquirer]

*Despite the dreadful outcome and mostly lackluster play from most of his teammates, Bobby Brink had himself another strong game on Saturday night. Are we seeing a step forward? [BSH]

*If you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website you can check out our Maddie Campbell’s latest on the Phantoms. [PHLY]

*And since she’s the best, she’s also got a full report on all the Kids in the organization, from K- to AHL. [BSH]

*The NHL General Manager meetings begin today, and we can’t wait to see what fresh horrors are unleashed on all of us after these dudes sit together in a room for a few days. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, starting to think about which team you might bandwagon for this year’s playoffs? Perhaps you might consider our old friend Claude Giroux. [TSN]
