Friday Morning Fly By: Revenge for Ryan

Today’s open discussion thread, complete with your daily dose of Philadelphia Flyers news and notes.

*The Flyers beat the Islanders last night on the back of a dominant second period, after an insanely dirty hit on Ryan Poehling in the first. Here’s hoping Poehling is okay. RECAP!

*Charlie’s got 10 Things on this one. [PHLY]

*The Beez was back! And got points! You love to see it. [Inquirer]

*Rasmus Ristolainen has turned himself into a pretty dang good hockey player over the last couple of years. Arguably the Flyers’ second best defenseman. Against all odds! So what should they do with this guy? Keep him? Shop him? Big choice to make. [The Athletic]

*Best defenseman? Travis Sanheim, of course. [Flyers]

*If you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website you can check out Alex Appleyard’s sit down with Flyers prospect Jack Berglund. Whose skates were too big. [PHLY]

*The latest power rankings, in the form of each team’s goalie situation. Welp. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, midseason awards! Fun ones, too. Great Friday content. Enjoy. [ESPN]
